After the premature passing of her husband, Barbe Nicole Ponsardin, Madame Clicquot, took over the family business. With boldness and a visionary approach to her craft, she revolutionized Champagne-making, introducing innovations that reshaped the industry. She transformed the process of creating rosé Champagne, a brilliant invention that soon became widely adopted by other Champagne houses.

Brut Carte Jaune - The Birth of a Style
Enjoy a visit to the Crayères, the Veuve Clicquot cellars, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the unique craftsmanship behind its Brut Carte Jaune champagne, marked by its iconic yellow label.

Rosé Champagne Experience 
Discover the history and craftsmanship behind Veuve Clicquot’s iconic rosé champagne, first created by Madame Clicquot in 1818. Explore the UNESCO-listed Crayères and immerse yourself in 250 years of innovation.

The Art of Aging
Dive into our aromatic garden and, for a moment, become a "nose" of Veuve Clicquot champagnes. Continue this sensory journey with a guided tour of our historic Crayères, the UNESCO-listed cellars of the House, where you will discover the vintage champagnes created by Madame Clicquot in 1810. You will taste four of our vintage cuvées, including two rare selections, paired with a carefully curated cheese selection.
Tastings: Vintage Brut 2015, Vintage Brut Rosé 2015, Vintage Brut 2002 (Magnum), and Cave Privée 1990 + Tasting of a selection of aged cheeses.

La Grande Dame 
Discover the prestigious La Grande Dame cuvée, created in honor of Madame Clicquot’s determination and intuition in acquiring exceptional grand cru vineyards in Champagne. Explore the UNESCO-listed Crayères and the historic Verzy vineyard, the kingdom of Pinot Noir, which Madame Clicquot believed produced the finest wines.
Tastings: Brut Carte Jaune, La Grande Dame, and La Grande Dame Rosé.

Madame Clicquot was unwavering in her pursuit of quality, often stating, “Only one quality, the very first,” a motto that remains the guiding principle of the Maison. Within the historic cellars you will be introduced to the art of Champagne-making, following each step from vineyard to bottle. Finally, refine your tasting skills with a guided sampling of four exceptional cuvées from our collection.

For two unforgettable hours, step into the legendary UNESCO-listed cellars of Veuve Clicquot and follow in the footsteps of Madame Clicquot, who revolutionized the art of champagne-making with her bold innovations. With a dedicated guide entirely focused on your group, explore the Maison’s heritage and savoir-faire. Your journey culminates in a refined tasting of two carefully selected champagnes, perfectly paired with exquisite bites (cheese platter) to elevate every note. As Madame Clicquot declared, “Only one quality, the finest.” Now, it’s your turn to experience it.

● Verzy Experience 
Spend three immersive hours exploring the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Veuve Clicquot. Begin with a visit of the cellars, where Madame Clicquot’s pioneering spirit shaped the future of champagne. Then, venture to the Grand Cru vineyards of Verzy, a historic Grand Cru terroir where it all began for Clicquot’s House and where you’ll gain insight into the art of vine-growing in a stunning natural setting. Weather permitting, stroll through the serene gardens of the Verzy Manor. Conclude with a tailored tasting of three exceptional champagnes, a tribute to Madame Clicquot’s enduring pursuit of excellence: “Only one quality, the finest.”

* Please note all public visits can be done privately. 

*On a full-day tour, we typically recommend visiting one Champagne house in the morning, followed by a leisurely lunch, and another house in the afternoon. You can choose to explore two renowned houses, two family-run estates, or a combination of both.

*The two private visits, Clicquot Private Experience and Verzy Experience, are available in the morning or afternoon. Availability varies throughout the year and will be confirmed by your agent.

*The cellars are cool, bring warm clothing.
