Visit a Champagne House whose legacy was shaped by a remarkable woman—Madame Pommery. Upon her husband’s passing in 1858, she took charge with unwavering vision and transformed her estate into one of the most prestigious vineyards in Champagne. In 1874, she revolutionized the industry by creating the first commercially successful ‘Brut Champagne’, redefining the way the world enjoys this sparkling wine.
A true business visionary, Madame Pommery was dedicated to elevating the image of her House, particularly for her most loyal clientele—the English. She embarked on one of the most ambitious projects of the century, converting over 18 kilometers of chalk quarries into vast wine cellars, ensuring the perfect aging conditions for her pioneering dry Champagne. She also designed an extraordinary Elizabethan-style estate, blending neo-Gothic elements with grand turrets, crenellations, and striking Tudor-style facades, bringing a touch of grandeur to Reims.
Choose from a selection of public or private tours to fully immerse yourself in the world of Pommery and experience the rich Champagne heritage of this historic House.
