Known for having beautiful renaissance mansions and other architectural treasures that you will discover strolling around the old city surrounded by very well preserved ramparts. A must see, are the Hospices de Beaune known for an exceptional colorful roof made of gothic geometric shapes and facades. It was created in the Middle Ages and was a hospital for the poor. Inside is a museum of the hispital and their, rooms and pharmacies as they a-were at the time.

Next, you can visit either Maison Champy, Founded in 1720 by Edme Champy, originally a cooper, Maison Champy is the oldest wine trading house in Beaune, which also makes it the first "merchant-breeder" in Burgundy. Since then the estate has acquired vineyard plots, which also makes it a producer; or Bouchard Père et fils House. Over time, by acquiring various terroirs with great care and patience, Bouchard Père & Fils has built up a vast domaine in Côte-d’Or. Today the estate boasts 130 hectares of vines. They are an example of a very special Burgundy heritage with a fine and varied number of appellations: Montrachet, Bonnes-Mares, Corton-Charlemagne, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l’Enfant Jésus, Meursault, Perrières...
Then head toward Mersault village for lunch in a unique setting.
Afterwards head south to Château de Santenay which is one of Burgundy’s largest wine domaines. Its prestigious heritage, which comprises a remarkable Château with a glazed tile roof and 95 hectares of vineyards, is the product of a time-old legacy that is closely tied to the history of the Burgundy wine region. The visit comments on the thousand-year-old history of this great Burgundian domain, property of the Duke of Burgundy Philippe le Hardi (1342-1404). Explore the magnificent cellars of the domain where the vinification and the maturation take place. You will finish the visit with a tasting of a selection of 5 white and red wines of the Château coming from the 3 wine growing areas, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise.
