Your driver will then take you to Biot, a medieval town known as the 'City of Arts and Crafts'. Situated atop a scenic hill, Biot boasts a rich history of craftsmanship dating back to antiquity, specializing initially in ceramics. Over time, it became renowned for glassmaking, producing jars and containers for food and wine. Biot's glass exports have spanned the globe since the 16th century, reaching destinations worldwide. The distinctive Biot style features tiny bubbles within the glass, created by sprinkling bicarbonate during the glassblowing process, resulting in a unique textured finish.
